Tom's First Cabinet

This is Tom's first Display case he made to keep. Tom has been collecting shot glasses for the past 15 years. I bought him 2 small cabinets that are almost completely full this year, but he had 64 tall or odd shaped glasses that would not fit in the smaller cabinets. ( The small cabinets hold 50 regular size shot glasses in each, and he has space for 2 more.) Tom decided to try making one.

He had pieces of glass in the garage that were perfect for shelves, so he built a cabinet to fit them. He needed a front for the door and decided to use plexi glass he bought and cut down to size from Home Depot.

Tom found the shelves were week in the middle when he started loading the shelves with the glasses. To fix this he cut shelf supports to line up in the center back. He used a pine finish.

He was worried about the strength of the corners, so he added the decorative supports. You can see the center shelf supports in this as well.
