A weekly art/craft project by Ashlin, Sarah or Both. We wanted to challenge ourselves to be creative and try to expand our skills. We'd love to have some feedback and suggestions for improvement, so please leave a comment when you visit. Thanks! A few posts will be Tom's handy work, but Ashlin or I will be writing it up for him as he doesn't like to write.

Jewelry Cabinet #5--Gold Mirrored Frame
I found 2 frames measuring 14.5 x 14.5 inches at a sale. The made perfect Jewelry box fronts. However, I screwed up on one of them and need to UN-assemble it and fix it. (That's what I get for not making my frame square.)
The box is made out of pine and the shelves are a hard ash. The box was spray painted gold to match the frame and a green velvet was added to the inside back of the cabinet.
The left side measures13" tall and has 8 brass jewelry hooks. The top right shelf has 8 brass hooks and measures 3 1/2" tall. The middle shelf is 3 1/2" tall and the bottom shelf is 5 3/8" tall. There is a brass closure and brass hinges on the box.
